Christmas Leave

For Those who Started On or After January 1st 2019

Annual Christmas holiday pay for 2019 will be paid on 3rd January 2020.

Since you will still be within the first year of your contract with us, any outstanding accrual will be included in this payment.

There will therefore be no need to complete a holiday form for leave from 25th December onwards.  However, should you wish to start your holiday earlier, leave must be requested in the normal way.

You will now follow MPI’s holiday year, running January to December.

For Those who Started Before January 1st 2019

Annual Christmas holiday pay for 2019 will be paid on 3rd January 2020.

Christmas holidays will automatically be paid for December 25th 2019 to January 1st 2020, excluding the weekend – to a maximum of 6 days.

You will be paid only what you have accrued to a maximum of 6 days.

There will be no need to complete a holiday request form for Christmas leave between these dates.  However, should you wish to start your holiday earlier, leave must be requested in the normal way.

Provided you have taken a minimum of 5.6 weeks leave by January 1st 2020, all outstanding accrual will also be paid.
If you have taken less than 5.6 weeks leave, any outstanding accrual will be lost – in keeping with the Working Time Regulations.

Your current holiday accrual is printed at the bottom of your payslip
