​MPI are assisting our client with their permanent requirement for a Mechanical Technical Specialist – CAMSO, RAF Northolt

Serco currently have a vacancy for a ‘Mechanical Technical Specialist’ to work within the ISSAC project Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Organisation (CAMSO), at RAF Northolt in Middlesex (HA4 6NG).

Aircraft Mechanical Technician (CAMO / Part M) – RAF Northolt

Serco currently have a vacancy for a ‘Mechanical Technical Specialist’ to work within the ISSAC Project Continuing Airworthiness Organisation (CAMO), civil Part M equivalent, at RAF Northolt in Middlesex (HA4 6NG).

This position is within a small team that carry out an office-based support role to the Serco maintenance staff in maintaining the RAF’s fleet of 4 BAe146 Aircraft.

The role provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to work within an exciting and unique service to the Government and Armed Services that is recognised at a national level.

The core office working hours are Mon-Fri, 08.00 16.00. However, these working hours can be flexible, with agreement.

Furthermore, we offer BAe146 training and career development opportunities to grow into other roles both at Northolt and UK/Worldwide within Serco.

Current pay is £38000 with an annual pay increase pending

Qualifications and Requirements:

o Recognised level of Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering training (Essential).

o Recent practical experience in aircraft maintenance (Essential).

o Type qualification/experience BAe146 aircraft (Desirable). We provide BAe146 training for candidates with no previous experience.

o The ability to hold/pass UK SC level security vetting (Essential). Note: this highly desirable qualification endures after your employment with Serco and allows access to many otherwise ‘closed’ roles.

o Full UK driving Licence (Desirable).

o Flexible/adaptable work ethos (Desirable).

o Good understanding of regulatory governance within a Pt M or MilCAM structure (Desirable).

o Working knowledge of current military aircraft documentation (Desirable).

o Demonstrable team leadership (Desirable).
