MPI Limited are looking for Aircraft Mechanical Technical Instructors to teach technical training to multi-national students with an age range of 16-35 in both classroom & aircraft hangar environments based in the Wolverhampton area.
The Aircraft Technical Mechanical Instructor position is an ongoing contract, working 37 hours per week for 44.4 weeks per year. (Due to holiday shutdown periods).
£24.03 per hour – Limited Company
£19.11 per hour – PAYE
This position is classed as in scope of IR35 due to it being in the public sector.
Normal working hours are 08.30 – 17.00 Monday – Friday and 08.30 – 16.30 Friday. There are times when candidates are required to work outside of these hours and if this happens they are given time off in lieu.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Aircraft Training Manager for classroom and practical instruction on a topic within the aircraft discipline and various allied subjects. Ancillary duties include lesson preparation and the production of training support material. Responsibilities comprise the control and supervision of students including the application of Health and Safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
Candidates must have served a recognised aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or a relevant alternative period of training and possess an appropriate ONC, City and Guilds Level 3, BTEC or equivalent qualification, or B1/B2 civilian licence. They require candidates to have at least 5 years’ experience in that trade or specialisation. Any applicants who possess at least 5 years appropriate aircraft engineering experience at NCO level in the Military, will be deemed to meet the necessary requirements.
Applicants will be required to undertake a trade related test and deliver a 10-15 minute presentation at the interview stage.
The successful applicant will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure at a cost of £23 and will undergo an MOD BPSS Security Clearance; this will only be required at job offer stage.
