​MPI have a requirement for a Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Manager to work in Deeside, Flintshire.

This is a Contract role for up to 22nd June 2022 as per Customer requirements.

Our Client may decide to change this role into a permanent position, you are then eligible to apply should it be advertised externally under Fair & Open competition at a future point.

Approx 37 hours per week

£22.00 per hour PAYE

This role is in scope of IR35

Post Requirements:

The HS&EP Manger is the authoritative Subject Matter Expert and professional lead, advising Directors, Managers and fellow HS&EP Team Members on all aspects of HS&EP.

Responsible to the Support Services Director for the efficient and effective management of the Occupational Health & Safety Assessment System and the Environmental Management System at the Company

Promoting and developing a positive HS&EP culture to ensure safe systems of work in the workplace and environmental protection.

Ensuring corporate legislative compliance, MOD Policy compliance, Company Policies & Processes compliance.

Leading the maintenance of certification to external standards (for example ISO14001 and ISO45001) and recommends additional accreditations, which support delivery of the Corporate Plan.

Maintain the Company Values and Ethics, demonstrating leadership which fosters a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Company, so as to avoid accidents or environment damage as a consequence of our business activities.

Leading the Business Continuity Process (BCP) for the Company

Essential (either already achieved, or working towards):

NEBOSH Health & Safety Diploma (or equivalent)

OHSAS 45001 Lead Auditor (IRCA registered or equivalent)

ISO 14001 Lead Auditor (IRCA registered or equivalent)

Demonstrable Experience delivering HSE within a highly regulated environment

Desirable:

Chartered member of IOSH

NEBOSH Environmental Diploma (or equivalent)

Member of IEMA or equivalent

HNC, HND, BEng or VVQ Level 5 in a relevant discipline

Please note; due to this being a temporary contract our client is happy to consider candidates that can demonstrate a NEBOSH Certificate and successful experience in a Health & Safety Leadership/management role if you do not have the NEBOSH Dip.

Full Security Clearance will be required and our Client will action this on appointment. Agency worker may be appointed pending clearance but will be terminated if clearance is not given.
