MPI have a requirement for a Mechanical Calibration Technician (Metrologist) to be based in Deeside, Flintshire.

This is a contract for approx 6 months with possible extension

Rate of pay is :- £13.42 per hour PAYE

The Department you will be working in calibrate equipment that fall under the following parameters:- force, torque, dimensional, pressure.

Examples of what you will be calibrating :- torque wrenches, torque analysers, torque multipliers, torque screwdrivers, weighing scales, micrometers, verniers, plug gauges, bore gauges, all forms of pressure gauges. This is a just a short list to give examples, our full portfolio is into the hundreds of different types and variants.

Applicants must have experience of:-

Perform Calibration verification & certification of mechanical test and measuring equipment in accordance with the Approved Data.
Calibrating or using such items listed or similar.
Working in a mechanical discipline / environment that involves the parameters listed above.
Adhering to technical procedures and taking precise measurements in accordance with those procedures.
Using IT systems and applications.
Working in an organisation that meets ISO quality standards.
Working in a close knit team.
Communicating using verbal, written, IT skills with colleagues / customers.
Manual handling, some equipment used is heavy.
Delivering at pace.
