​MPI have a requirement for a Planner/Scheduler to work in Gosport, Hampshire.

This is a permanent role with rates of pay to be discussed on application.

Purpose of the role:
Overseeing and planning cycle 2, kitting and scheduling activities, in order to achieve pre-determined build (cycle 3) dates to support efficient operation and on time delivery of product to customers.
 
Key responsibilities and duties:
Act as the key interface between Supply Chain and other departments for each project, liaising with relevant departments to bring project to fruition.
Schedule and oversee projects from release into Cycle 2, through to successful completion and despatch to customers, including collation of all relevant data from the various departments supporting Operations.
Liaise with Logistics, Procurement and Kitting to plan and deliver all required material from all relevant areas (Sub-Contract, Repair, Stores supplied, original project material) On Time In Full (OTIF)
Ensure effective tracking and visibility of all serviceable material appertaining to each project within the business.
Generate and maintain tracking data, visible so that all organisation stakeholders have access and understanding of project progress.
Organise and lead meetings, to ensure all issues are known and escalated as relevant, and promote and further understanding of project progress or issues to all stakeholders.
Comply with all risk assessment and internal procedures.
Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement within the Supply Chain and wider organisation.
Ensure that the good housekeeping practice is maintained within area of responsibility.
Ensure that all communication is clear, concise and that where relevant is escalated through the Line Manager.
Ensure that recording of data required to maintain KPI’s is carried out correctly and in a timely manner.
Attend training and on-the-job training in support of your role within the Supply Chain.
Carry out any further activities in support of the business as required and reasonably requested.
Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.

Key interfaces with:
The role will be working within the Supply Chain function, often situated within the Business Unit and will report directly the Logistics Team Leader.
Work with Material Planners locating and directing parts to the appropriate production areas or sub-contract suppliers.
Work with Customer Service team to receive/despatch material between Vector Aerospace and Customer/Suppliers.
Work with Operations to ensure correct, on-time delivery to support business requirements.
 
Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:
Familiarity with aerospace quality procedures desired
Experience:
Working within a Supply Chain in Aerospace MRO environment
Planning/scheduling experience within a production/repair style environment
