​MPI have a requirement for a Procurement & Logistics Manager to be based at Almondbank, Perth.

Rate of pay available upon request.

As a Procurement & Logistics Manager, you will maintain a historical review and forward plan based Inventory management concept to the Company. Provide direction & leadership in respect of Inventory & Material Planning to the various Business Units. Ensure appropriate and timely transacting of material to enable accuracy in ERP system (Navixa) for stock holdings and job costings. Central stores for purchasing and supplying shop supplies with aim of driving down cost throughout the site.

What you’ll do:

Measure, review and apply Inventory Indicators to all known inventory parts 

Measure, review and apply Planning thresholds to forecast related materials

Minimise investment & holding of slow/non-moving Inventory in the Business Units, whilst optimising availability of planned parts with special focus on availability of regular demand and forecast items

Responsible for cycle counting and assist Finance with YE activities and audit

Implement & drive continuous improvement in respect of all aspects of Inventory & Material Planning

Line manager to a team of Supply Chain associates

 

What skills you will use:     

Experience in Supply Chain, Inventory, Procurement and Logistics

Ability to prioritise to meet business needs, working to tight deadlines and build effective relationships

Maintain excellent working relationship with all key business and support units

Openness to work in a continuous improvement environment

CIPS qualification desirable or qualified by experience 

Experience of an ERP system is essential
