​MPI have a requirement for a Project Engineer to work on a Fixed term contract for 1 year + in Gosport, Hampshire.

Rate of pay is to be discussed on application.

Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering lead and oversight of new product introductions and transitions.
- Provide engineering lead and oversight of ERP system development and data migrations.
- Identify best practice for using ERP systems and drive the standardisation across the - Engines Business Unit; champion practices with the wider Company organisation.
- Continuous Improvement focal point for the Engines Business Unit; drives and promotes BU-wide engagement in CI culture and coordinates reporting into the site CI focal point.
- Develop proposals and business cases for introducing for new technologies and applications to improve upon current business practices.
- Drives continuous improvement projects to benefit health & safety, flight safety and business performance.
- Instil a data-driven approach to identifying and quantifying engineering and operations process improvements, including reducing of cost of poor quality.
- Develop and manage the integration of maintenance data (manuals, bulletins etc.) from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), customers and other sources within the Navixa ERP system;
- Optimise the use of the Navixa ERP system and engineering data within to create a paperless work package system whilst maximising maintenance technician productivity.
- Work with Technical Support Engineers to establish and maintain defined systems for effectively and efficiently updating the ERP system when maintenance data revisions are received;
- Ensuring all engineering changes within the ERP system are fully traceable and auditable;
- Proactively seek to improve internal process to ensure the delivery of quality solutions;
- Adherence to our Business Management Systems (BMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.
- Carries out special projects as assigned;
- Carries out other duties as assigned;

Organisational Relationships:
- Reports to the Engineering Manager – Engines;
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Engines BU Operations team;
- Participates in projects as a team member and/or team project leader.

Education and Training:
- Engineering Apprenticeship; (e)
- Advanced use of ERP (Navixa) system (e)
- Competent with Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, be sufficiently IT literate to acquire knowledge of other computer software used throughout the engine business; (e)
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills; (e)
- Awareness and implication of the regulations and regulatory requirements of the aerospace industry; (e)
- Communicating and Influencing Techniques; (d)

Technical Requirements:
- Gas Turbine Engine technical knowledge; (d)
- Experience in an aircraft component maintenance, repair and overhaul organisation (d)
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations, such as CAA/EASA Part-145 (d)
- Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments (d)
