Job description

MPI are looking for PERMANENT Service & Advanced Pumps Repairs Engineers, for our client based in London

Location

Ideally London, but will consider Kent, Surrey, Southampton, Reading, Oxford etc.

HoursTypically, start at 8 and finish at 4:30 however this is work dependent anything over 9 hours a day is paid at over time rates

About the role

In your role as Service & Advanced Repairs Engineer you will provide all aspects of on-site servicing, repairs and installation works covering domestic and commercial contracts throughout the UK. On call duty and standby will be required on a rotary basis to allow for 24/7 service cover.

 

In this role your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understand and adhere to all aspects of Health and Safety, Risk Assessments and Method Statements

  • Maintaining accurate data using a mobile device (customer, asset & contract information)

  • Carrying out site surveys and providing relevant information to the office

  • Actively be aware of opportunities to promote Client’s Services

  • Perform Servicing and Commissioning of pumps and pressurised systems

  • Perform advanced fault finding and repairs of pumps and pressurised systems

  • Assist with on-site installation of pumps and pressurised systems

  • Complete and submit all required paperwork

  • Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary

  • Provide accurate information to the relevant department or Manager

  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues

 

Essential qualifications, experience and skills required:

  • Servicing and Commissioning of pumps and pressurised systems

  • Advanced fault finding and minor repairs of pumps and pressurised systems

  • Knowledge of pumps and pressurised systems

  • UK Driving Licence

  • Organised and self-motivated

  • Attention to detail

  • Customer focused

  • A pleasant and friendly ‘can do’ attitude

  • Health and Safety training required for the role

  • Good time keeping

  • Be flexible and adaptable

 

Knowledge and skills to develop:

  • Further Health and Safety training required for the role

  • Further product training as required

  • Installations of pumps and pressurised systems
