MPI are seeking on behalf of our client a Systems Engineer
To be based in Salisbury, Wiltshire working 3-5 days per week. 7.4hrs per day (37 per week)
Working from home for the remainder of hours; This will be clarified by the hiring manager during interview.
This is a proposed 18 month contract until 31st July 2022

This role will involve working with industry and MOD to lead the development of a system (hardware) to be installed into military platforms based on a set of high level requirements. The role requires application of systems engineering expertise and experience to de-risk the delivery of the system to the military customer. The system will include computing elements and associated software, radios, RF elements and antennas. The individual must be able to take responsibility and lead own work and that of a small delivery team as a key member the Project Leadership Team.
Hardware design, build and integration onto military sites and platforms; • Assurance and testing; • Appreciation of C2 integration; • Through life product lifecycles.
Requirements capture and validation
The role will require travel within the UK
Experience managing contracts
Previous experience working with DE&S, and knowledge of their processes (ideally accreditation)
Knowledge of EMC
Mechanical engineering awareness
