​MPI have a requirement for a Rotary Support Operative which is basically someone to work within the Tool Stores.

The role is based in Gosport, Hampshire and is a permanent role.

Rate of pay to be discussed on application.

Hours: 37 per week (excluding meal breaks) working Monday to Friday on a flexible working hours basis.

Monday – Thursday

AM Core Time 0700-0830

AM Core Time 0830-1200

Flexible Lunch Period 1200-1300 (min 30 mins)

PM Core Time 1300-1530

Flexible Finishing Band 1530-1730

Friday

Flexible Starting Band 0700-0830

Flexible working hours allow you, at management’s discretion, more freedom to arrange hours to suit your lifestyle. You must be present during the essential part of the day (core time) but are free to choose your starting and finishing times during the hours before and after the core time (flexible bands). The choice of starting and finishing times is, of course, subject to ensuring there will be no adverse effect on the efficiency of the business.

Purpose of the role:

To support the Rotary business unit in all non-direct activities. The primary role is operate within the Tool Store.

Will support MRF, aircraft walking and aircraft cleaning activities when not performing primary role.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Transfer of aircraft components between onsite satellite locations, utilising site transport (White / Yellow fleet) where appropriate;

To ensure the cleanliness of all Rotary satellite locations and control and segregation of all waste, sent for disposal in accordance with Health and Safety requirements;

Aircraft / Component Cleaning activities;

Support of Aircraft Movements;

General support to Tool Store;

General support to Logistics;

Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products/materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures;

Report any defects on vehicles, machinery and equipment;

Compliance with all current Health and Safety and Environmental regulations;

Carry out any further activities in support of the business, as required;

Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

Competent user of Microsoft Office programmes (e)

Holds a full car driving licence (e)

Holds a Fork Lift Truck licence (Ideally applicants to have this, however if you do not have it, the Client can train you, but you must be willing to undertake the training.)
