​MPI have a requirement for a Training Manager to be based in Gosport in a permanent role.

Rate of pay to be discussed on application.

Primary Functions

The Training Manager will be responsible for efficient management of the Learning and Development program. This includes both driving the technical skills to keep technicians compliant, and employee career development within the emerging corporate and local frameworks.

Responsibilities:

Leading, coaching and developing the Training Team

Will work in collaboration with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Quality and Human Resources Departments to identify and manage a mandatory training programme for each role within the business.

To build and publicise a structured training programme for employee career progression and succession planning.

Devise, develop and implement a learning and development strategy – identify and monitor training objectives for the business.

To implement and maintain a Learning and Development Management System

Maintain a competent training function compromised of internal and external providers.

Develop and deliver bespoke training courses.

Identify and source training providers, including establishing discount structures and being the main point of contact for external training queries.

Monitor and evaluate attendants for internal and external training and implement appropriate improvements.

To ensure training courses remain current.

To prepare and monitor the training budget.

Lead and coach the Company’s leadership in evaluating employees to identify individual employee training needs.

Maintain own Continuing Professional Development.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Organisational Learning & Development or equivalent.

Good knowledge of talent management and succession planning methods

Previous experience in leading a Learning & Development team or similar.

Previous experience designing training programs.

Previous experience with learning management software.

Demonstrable ability to influence decision-making at all levels

Demonstrable ability to build positive relationships across all levels and with internal and external customers/suppliers.

Demonstrable ability to influence cultural behaviours.

A good understanding of military and civil aviation practice (distinct advantage)
