MPI are seeking a skilled Aircraft Technician with Merlin helicopter experience to join a permanent role at RNAS Culdrose.

Working across the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) and AESAS (Aircraft Engineering and Airfield Support) contracts, you’ll play a key role in keeping Merlin helicopters safe, serviceable, and mission-ready.
What you’ll be doing
As an Aircraft Engineering Fitter, you will:
- Carry out hands-on maintenance and support across Merlin rotary wing aircraft
- Work within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment
- Ensure all engineering activity meets strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Identify and report risks, defects, and technical issues
- Complete documentation and support ongoing training and development
What we’re looking for
You’ll need:
- At least 3 years’ experience in an airworthiness environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Merlin or rotary wing aircraft systems
- Knowledge of Naval Air Publications and CIETP systems
- Understanding of engineering / asset management processes
- A strong commitment to safety, tool control, and quality standards
- Completion of Human Factors training (Maintenance)
