Location: Cranfield, Bedfordshire
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week Typical Shift: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Contract: Approx. 1–2 years, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right individuals

MPI are currently seeking2 x Senior Engineer Technicians to join a busy engineering environment in Cranfield, Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for hands-on, practical engineers who enjoy problem-solving and working with test equipment in a fast-paced setting.
You will be working on the operation of test machines and supporting engineering activities in a highly practical, hands-on role. We’re looking for individuals with a strong engineering background, a proactive attitude, and a “can do, fix it” mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate test machines safely and efficiently
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues
- Carry out hands-on engineering tasks
- Work collaboratively as part of a skilled technical team
- Use practical problem-solving skills to keep operations running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Several years’ engineering experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- A practical, hands-on approach
- A positive “can do” attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Position 1 – Preferred Background:
- Instrumentation- PLCs (Programmable Logic Controls)
- Experience within oil and gas and/or processing industries
Position 2 – Preferred Background:
- Assembly rigs
- Mechanical engineering
- Experience within the automotive and/or refrigeration industries
- Experience with pumps and pipelines
