MPI is recruiting a Senior Service Engineer on behalf of a well-established and growing client. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with extensive pump engineering experience who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with mentoring and leading a team.

Based ideally in London, candidates from Kent, Surrey, Southampton, Reading, Oxford and surrounding areas will also be considered.

The Role

As a Senior Service Engineer, you'll carry out servicing, commissioning, installation, fault finding and repairs on pumps and pressurised systems across domestic and commercial sites throughout the UK.

Alongside your technical responsibilities, you'll act as the lead engineer for the South, providing guidance, technical support and mentoring to Service Engineers while helping to improve performance and maintain the highest service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, commission, install and repair pumps and pressurised systems
  • Diagnose complex faults and carry out advanced repairs
  • Lead and support a team of Service Engineers
  • Deliver technical training and identify development needs
  • Carry out site surveys, audits and engineer assessments
  • Provide technical support to engineers, customers and the office team
  • Maintain technical documentation and asset information
  • Promote company services and build strong customer relationships
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and industry standards

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years' experience working with pumps and pressurisation equipment
  • Strong knowledge of water booster sets and pressurised water systems
  • Experience servicing, commissioning, installing and fault finding
  • Good electrical fault-finding skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Customer-focused with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Organised, flexible and able to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence

Working Hours

Typically 8:00am – 4:30pm, although hours vary depending on workload. Any time worked over 9 hours per day is paid at overtime rates.
