Senior Corporate Aircraft Mechanic

MPI is recruiting for a Senior Corporate Aircraft Mechanic to join a leading aircraft maintenance organisation based at Stansted Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aircraft mechanic looking to take the next step in their career. Working alongside Licensed Engineers, you'll help deliver high-quality maintenance on corporate aircraft while supervising a designated work area and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.

  • Day shift rotation: 5, 5, 4, 4 (07:00-19:00)

The Role

As a Senior Corporate Aircraft Mechanic, you'll support Licensed Engineers during aircraft maintenance inputs and deputise for them when required, taking responsibility for your designated maintenance zone and coordinating work with Hangar Supervision.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
  • Supervising mechanics and contract staff within your work area
  • Organising labour and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed on time
  • Completing maintenance documentation accurately
  • Raising work cards and requisitions as required
  • Supervising and carrying out aircraft towing operations
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety
  • Ensuring tooling, equipment and company vehicles are maintained in good condition
  • Communicating project progress through daily meetings and reports
  • Driving continuous improvements in quality, efficiency and productivity

What We're Looking For

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience in a similar aircraft mechanic role
  • A recognised Aircraft Mechanic apprenticeship
  • Business Jet maintenance experience (preferred)
  • Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' aircraft maintenance trade experience
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
  • A full UK driving licence
