How long have you worked for MPI?
I have worked for MPI for nearly 5 years, starting back in September 2015.
What role(s) have you previously held within MPI?
When I started with MPI, I was a trainee recruiter based at our Newport Pagnell office, working within our general engineering team. Around 3 years later I pushed to move into business development, which is what has led me into this position. I feel my previous roles will prepare me well for this move.
What excites you about your new challenge with the Rail Team?
I’m very excited about learning an entire new industry. The Rail industry is full of fantastic opportunities and projects to be a part of over the next few years.
What keys skills are required in business development?
I believe the key skills required in business development is the ability to build positive working relationships, being able to take a positive view on things and having great attention to detail.
What attracted you to working in the recruitment industry?
The thing that attracted me most was working with different people. Being able to build relationships with contractors and clients at the same time is a challenge I have relished. Since joining the recruitment industry, I have never doubted the decision.
