​Aircraft Composite Repairs Operator/Structural Fitter to support Base Maintenance activities to the C-17 Aircraft RAF Managers /appointed Supervisor and/or Licensed Aircraft Engineer

These positions are opportunities for Aircraft Structural Fitters to be enrolled on Composites Courses OR Composite Fitters to gain aircraft experience

This position is based at  RAF Brize Norton OX 18 3LX..

As an Aircraft Composite Repairs Operator/Structural Fitter  your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Aviation apprenticeship background preferred OR - Time Served within another industry with Composites experience

Aircraft composite repairs “hands on” experience working in a large Aircraft line or base maintenance facility. Including removed components.

Able to provide specialist detail in support of Technical Services requests

Respiratory Protection Equipment experience, knowledge, control.

Ability to deliver  composite awareness brief to other aircraft maintenance colleagues.

Experience of large aircraft service or commercial aircraft engineering/operations

Ability to gain full UK security clearance if not already gained.

Motivated team member and physically fit to undertake manual tasks off and on board the aircraft

Mon-Fri 37 hours

Mon- Thu 08:00 hrs - 17:00 hrs

Fri 08:00 Hrs - 14:00 hrs

£31,000 salary

Mon – Fri (excluding Bank holidays) 37 hour week

25 days annual holiday
