​MPI have a requirement for a Workshop Foreman/Inspector to work on site in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire in a permanent role - (Contract may also be considered).

Rate of pay is negotiable and dependant on experience and will be discussed on application.

Working 4 on 4 off, plus o/t on days off (Overtime is not guaranteed)

Main responsibilities

As Foreman your key role will be to oversee the workshop staff and co-ordinate all tasks through the production office, ensuring best practise is followed on the workshop floor.

Inspections are to be carried out on receipt of components, stage inspections when required and on completion of all works carried out in accordance with EASA, FAA approved procedures

General description

Your daily duties as foreman/Inspector will include:

Assign tasks and labour as required

Updating production office

Co-ordinating alongside the stores department

Supervision of workshop staff

Ensuring all documentation is kept up to date and compliant

Carry out inspection in accordance with the latest manuals (CMM, SRM, AMM etc)

Inspections to be carried out on receipt of components, stage inspection and on completion

Compiling information up to quotation level to support the production manager

Requirements

Must have previous experience in foreman/inspection role – ideally in a workshop environment, but our Client will also consider a Foreman/Inspector who has worked on the Line or Hangar environment.

Employment history in aviation essential

A good knowledge base of aircraft manuals/documents

Computer literacy and experience in Office based software required

Previous company approvals are preferred

Applicants to have Aero Foil experience and be able to read fine print drawings
