Job description

​MPI have a requirement for an Apprentice Assessor to be base on site at RAF Odiham in Hook, Hampshire.

Assessor and teaching experience is desirable but not essential and will consider applicants with a good airframe/avionic/propulsion/mechanical/technician background with a view to training them to be trainers/assessors.

These roles are ongoing, working 37 hours per week for 44.4 weeks per year. (Due to holiday shutdown periods),  for which holiday will accrue to cover the shut-down period (if PAYE).

Rate of pay: Umbrella £45.13 or Paye £33.00 roles deemed in-scope of IR35

Aeronautical Engineering Apprenticeship Flight (AEAF) delivers technical Apprenticeships to Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (TG1) and Survival Equipment Technicians (TG13) in the RAF. This request is for a Contractor to facilitate the continuation of aeronautical apprenticeship progression for RAF Apprentices at RAF Cosford, during Phase 2 training.

Qualifications: Ideally educated to Level 3 such as Ordinary National Certificate, BTEC, SCOTVEC, NVQ/SVQ in the relevant subject, plus have a few years practical experience in that trade or specialism.

You will be responsible to the Officer Commanding AEAF for the regular review, assessment, management, and welfare of RAF TG1 & 13 Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering Apprentices up to the completion of their Apprenticeship.

The post requires a Level 3 Vocational Assessor qualification; full training will be given to personnel who do not already hold this qualification.
