Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Parts Manager to join our busy team at our clients Newcastle Retailer.

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the management of a team of Parts Advisors / Parts Delivery Driver to ensure first class customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Stock Management - ensuring that there is adequate stock available on site at all times and that processes are followed in correctly identifying and warehousing of stock items.
  • Analyse Parts Reports, control department costs, including debt management.
  • Ensuring best practice housekeeping and health and safety standards are kept for both stores and retail section of the Parts Department.
  • Assist in the creation of sales strategies and collaborate with the Marketing department and Group Aftersales Manager to identify and promote marketing activities.
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks

 

The ideal Assistant Parts Manager will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Good leadership skills in managing a team of Parts Advisors and Parts Delivery Driver.
  • Excellent Customer Relations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing reports and managing costs
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be well presented.
  • Must be IT literate, and a working knowledge of Kerridge would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the motor industry is desirable.

 

Hours: 42 Hours per week. Monday - Friday on a rota basis ensuring the business is covered whilst open between 7:45 am to 6:00 pm.

You will also work 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Further details will be provided by your line manager in due course.

Salary: Up to £28,000 basic + OTE
