MPI have a requirement for a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to work on site at Luton Airport for 6month+ contract.
Rate of pay will be discussed on application.
License required: - B1 licensed with a minimum of one type that we operate, 737 Ng, 737 Max, 767, 787 or Embraer E2.
Working in the MOC Based in Luton, the MOC Engineer can rely on a range of challenging duties for which they are responsible. In an international environment where diversity plays a key role, the MOC Engineer will be part of a team of Engineers, Planners and AOG procurement staff supporting a safe, reliable and cost effective fleet. It will operate a remote centralised service, delivering to all markets, and supporting all Group fleets.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Reporting to the MOC Duty Manager, you will be part of a shift based team delivering world class technical support to engineers and flight operations across the group on a 24/7/365 basis. You will be involved in all aspects relating to the continued technical availability of the Group fleet.
This will include:
Providing troubleshooting advice when required to Flight Crews and engineers worldwide to aid rectification of aircraft in service defects
Carrying out daily calls to key line stations & 3rd party bases to discuss current aircraft defects, aircraft operational status and planned night stop maintenance
Monitoring of Deferred Defects, Maintenance Actions and previous overnight maintenance activity to prevent Repair Interval Extension (RIE) process being invoked
Liaising with the Flight Ops & Base Maintenance Departments as to the serviceability and readiness state of the aircraft to maintain the daily flying programme
Co-ordination of Fleet Line Maintenance Activities worldwide through liaison with Engineers, Handling Agents, Flight Crews & Operations Duty Manager
Acting as the initial focal point for all engineering issues within the TUI Group for Line Maintenance, and directing the resolution of any AOG situations
Liaising with Part M on all technical and airworthiness queries between line stations and support departments
Liaising with Boeing and component OEMs on operational technical issues when required
Monitoring component removal history and invoking appropriate troubleshooting actions
Use of the MEL to optimise the maintenance plan
Supporting the Operation in a ‘hands on’ role where the need arises
Deputising for the MOC Duty Manager
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Ability to hold CAA / EASA B1/B2 License and TUI company approvals as required for the role.
Recognised Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
Significant technical and trouble-shooting experience within Operational Maintenance
Significant experience of AOG resolution, both hands on and detailed recovery planning
An excellent knowledge of AMOS, including maintenance planning functions and modification control
A logical thinker with the ability to generate ideas, alternatives, and solutions
Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss & explain complex situations to all areas of the business.
Make decisions based on operational risk with respect to Denied Boarding Compensation
Strong organisational skills and sound office IT skills
Willingness to support the operation at short notice, including overseas, when required
