MPI are currently recruiting for a CAA B2/C Licensed Aircraft Engineer to be based at Broughton, Chester.
This is an ongoing contract. The rate of pay is available on request and is in scope of IR35.
Summary of Role:
The B2/C CAA PT66 Licensed Engineer will hold a Beech B300 Series (PWC PT6) type rating and will undertake scheduled and un-scheduled aircraft maintenance in a base maintenance environment. You will also take responsibility for rectification, repair, mandatory inspections and certification of all servicing and maintenance tasks within the scope of your approval. In addition, you will assume control of all documentation for aircraft under your control and be available at short notice to perform Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery. You will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with Civil and Military regulatory airworthiness standards and our clients Company policy.
Main Duties:
The licence holder will -
Have a comprehensive understanding of Aviation Regulations with regard to CAA and MAA legislation and their application with regard to the maintenance of aircraft.
Have the ability to fully understand Drawn and Technical requirements of Aircraft Maintenance, Modification and System Integration.
Possess excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
Carry out maintenance in accordance with approved OEM’s data and manuals.
Highlight defects and spares issues in a timely manner facilitating timely completion of maintenance activities.
Technical supervision and support to the assigned HDL operators.
Control and co-ordinate maintenance documentation in support of CRS requirements.
Carry out ‘first of type’ systems installation testing and Pt145 certification.
Provide Pt145 review of the associated Design Office ‘first of type’ test procedures.

Essential:
The preferred candidate is expected to hold a Beech B300 Series (PWC PT6A) B2/C Type rating. The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience in a similar role. There is an expectation to demonstrate previous success in managing acceptable airworthiness, safety and performance standards while carrying out such role requirements.
