Head of Manufacturing

Location: Cranfield, Bedford, Milton Keynes area

Salary: Between £50K - £60K

SUMMARY

Our Client is looking for a Head of Manufacturing to scale-up the existing production of their product.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Our client is a company based in Bedfordshire specialised in drone infrastructure. Their drone docking stations enable drones to be automatically housed, deployed, recovered and recharged without the direct need for user’s manipulation. This product is used for site monitoring and inspection. Their customers are asset-heavy industrial companies such as power plants, ports and construction sites both in the UK and overseas.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Head of Manufacturing you will be responsible for:

-All manufacturing functions including production, testing, procurement, warehousing, facilities and safety

-Effective management of a team of engineers and technicians of circa 10 personnel.

-Working closely with the Directors and your team to co-ordinate business priorities, manpower and budget.

 REQUIRED SKILLS

The successful candidate will have proven track record of:

-Developing, managing and enhancing Manufacturing processes in a high-growth business.

-People management skills i.e. strong leadership and communication skills, developing team, performance management.

-Developing relationships with suppliers including price negotiation, part lead time and end-of-life awareness.

-Managing a budget to run the current operations as well as cash projections.
