​We have an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join a specialist service provider to the Railway Industry, providing a spectrum of services to clients. This role is based in Crewe and will be until summer 2025.

The role will include working alongside and learning from experienced colleagues to guide and mentor you through the process of project management and project administration, thus helping to ensure the delivery of projects and contracts on time and to the highest of standards.

Key responsibilities for this Assistant Project Manager role:

- Liaising with suppliers and contract mangers to ensure the co-ordination and organisation of invoices, purchase orders and general work completion information.
- Assist in the preparation of quotations and estimates as guided by contract/project managers and commercial team.
- Assist in the production of and submission of accurate progress reports as directed and in a timely manner.
- Organising the workload for teams carrying out Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance.
- Roster and planning of resources internal and external.

Experience required for this Assistant Project Manager role:

- An appreciation and understanding of financial and administrative management skills.
- Confidence to liaise with Customer, clients, operatives, and contractors.
- Organised - ability to prioritise works and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
- Desirable - Experience of working within different business areas including commercial, financial, and contract administration.
- Desirable - Experience within a rail environment.
- Desirable - Exposure to infrastructure/construction projects.
