Job description
Position: Signalling Construction CRE (Contract Responsible Engineer)
Location: Rugby
Contract Duration: 2 Months
Start Date: ASAP / Immediate Start Preferred
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Signalling Construction CRE to support a short-term project based in Rugby. This is an immediate start and will including working over the Christmas period until the end of January.
Hotels will be provided along with a Bonus for all critical shifts works.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as Construction CRE for signalling works, ensuring all activities adhere to Network Rail standards and project requirements.
Provide technical leadership, assurance, and guidance to the construction and installation teams.
Review and approve construction documentation, workpacks, and plans.
Ensure all on-site signalling works are delivered safely, competently, and in line with design intent.
Liaise with Design CRE, CEM, Project Engineering teams, and site management to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Attend site meetings, progress reviews, and deliver accurate engineering reporting.
Oversee testing interfaces and handback requirements as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Signalling Construction CRE within the UK rail industry.
Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards, signalling installation practices, and assurance processes.
Valid PTS and relevant signalling competencies.
Ability to work independently, manage responsibilities effectively, and support a fast-paced delivery environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
IRSE Licence
