​Position: Signalling Construction CRE (Contract Responsible Engineer)
Location: Rugby
Contract Duration: 2 Months
Start Date: ASAP / Immediate Start Preferred

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Signalling Construction CRE to support a short-term project based in Rugby. This is an immediate start and will including working over the Christmas period until the end of January.

Hotels will be provided along with a Bonus for all critical shifts works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as Construction CRE for signalling works, ensuring all activities adhere to Network Rail standards and project requirements.

• Provide technical leadership, assurance, and guidance to the construction and installation teams.

• Review and approve construction documentation, workpacks, and plans.

• Ensure all on-site signalling works are delivered safely, competently, and in line with design intent.

• Liaise with Design CRE, CEM, Project Engineering teams, and site management to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

• Attend site meetings, progress reviews, and deliver accurate engineering reporting.

• Oversee testing interfaces and handback requirements as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Signalling Construction CRE within the UK rail industry.

• Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards, signalling installation practices, and assurance processes.

• Valid PTS and relevant signalling competencies.

• Ability to work independently, manage responsibilities effectively, and support a fast-paced delivery environment.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• IRSE Licence
