Job Title: Tooling Controller

Immediate start, ongoing contract

PAYE £13.66 per hour, all hours worked (days)

Monday - Thursday 0730hrs - 1630hrs

Friday - 0730hrs - 1230hrs

Some overtime available, FLT Licence required

Tooling Controller Job Description

The position is responsible for initiating effective & efficient control over tooling & stock items and to support the Supply Chain.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintain master data in the ERP System

To include: (part number, description, special purchase order instructions, Quality Information Records (inspection criteria) Purchase Information Records (conditions, lead-time, pricing)

Place Tooling orders on approved suppliers and monitor order fulfilment

Match the relevant invoices

Maintain Tooling availability to relevant KPI’s

Liaise with suppliers to reduce costs

Predict future spend through the analysis of historical spend and work within budget.

Provide advice to interested parties such as line managers, production control and off site parties of the future availability of tooling so as to facilitate forward planning.

To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided..

Ensure that tooling calibration certificates are specified and supplied for all applicable tools and gauges.

RMA (return material Authorisation) parts processed and returned to the suppliers for credit.

Process cores and return to vendors for credit

Flexibility and supporting the buyers for out of hours service

Process parts for repair and ensure they are actioned for dispatch

Serving at the service hatch when required

Handling and storing customer owned parts in accordance with procedure

Clear knowledge and ability to perform tasks in the following areas of the department

Goods receiving, Dispatch, Hatch, Tooling, Stock control, stock checking Dangerous goods

Ability to process all order types

Communicating via group email activities relating to AOG’s robberies and updating Envision

Results orientated using envision KPI data

Identify non value added activity and continuous improvement options

Performing other duties that are reasonably consistent with your position and capabilities

Working a reasonable amount of additional hours over and above your contracted hours of work at such times as may be necessary for the satisfactory discharge of your duties including cover at weekends and AOG’s
