MPI are currently recruiting for a Senior Material Supplier (SMS) - Line Station based at Gatwick Airport.

This a temp to perm role.

​Provide full material support at a busy line station including purchasing & carrying out store functions including goods-In, dispatch, material movements and pre-loading of parts.

What You will be doing:

​

As a Senior Material Supplier you will be responsible for the operational and material support at a main line station and the support of satellite stations in your region. You may be required to purchase parts/ commercial items in support.

You will carry out the goods in inspection, receipt and dispatch of materials, components, and tooling.

The role holder may be required to work rosters which may include unsocial hours. You will be willing to travel to support the operational support of the engineering organisation.

Maintain accuracy of all inventory held in the stores by being active in inventory audits. Raise orders to return parts to contracted agencies against service level agreements (SLA’s) or repair vendors.

You will be required to maintain compliance within your stores area and co-ordinate logistical tasks as required. Support a performance orientated approach, minimising acceptable deferred defects with the supply of parts and tooling. Engage/develop/maintain relationships internally and externally promoting the TUI group and increasing the awareness of our strategy. Ensure compliance with Local Airport regulations, Company procedures Technical, H&S, EMS, IT and HR policies. You will be required to obtain a goods inspection stamp & Dangerous Goods by Air certificate.

What we are looking for:

​

Aviation background with supply chain experience, including receiving and handling of aircraft parts

Ability to hold a full airside pass & airside driving permit

Strong IT skills and knowledge of engineering systems

Ability to work on own initiative

Demonstrate self-confidence and the ability to present at all levels across a wide engineering organization

AMOS knowledge an advantage
