The client is searching for a Conformal Coating Operative to join the existing team responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards ensuring adherence to required technical and quality standards for a variety of major OEM’s.

The Role:

This position will be responsible for the coating, inspection and touch-up to the surfaces of printed circuit boards, utilising specific surface preparation and coating techniques and fully comply with the required build standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conformal coating of PCBs ensuring all processes are stringently adhered to and any gaps or suggestions for process improvements are made to your immediate supervisor

  • Preparation of solvent based materials in line with manufacturer’s instructions

  • Ability to accurately identify coating material to ensure correct material used at all times

  • Masking and de-masking and cleaning, as needed

  • Adherence to work instructions

  • Accurate setting of temperature controls on ovens

  • Maintenance of accurate production records

  • Routine cleaning and maintenance of tools

  • Compliance with the company H&S and Quality standards and procedures

  • Able to programme conformal coating machines

  • Able to mentor others

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience of conformal coating in an electronic manufacturer essential

  • Certification to IPC-A-610 desirable

  • Able to follow Customer Drawings

  • ESD Awareness

  • Attention to detail

  • Team Player

  • Excellent communication skills
