​Our client are currently recruiting for an Instructional Officer to deliver training to service personnel, civil servants and contractors on various specialist airfield vehicles – Forklifts (various), Trepel and Atlas Aircraft Loaders as well as MHE Combi-Lift and general service vehicles, which includes all pre and post course administration.

As part of this you’ll:

 Ensure the STS area fulfils its primary function through effective organisation to meet the allotted contractual tasks

Administer of all driver training.

Carry out ‘check drives’ after a DTB accident or incident.

Deliver initial, continuation and familiarisation training of all drivers on respective vehicles.

Maintain training records and ensure suitability reports are raised and appropriately retained on file.

Ensure all Company Policies and Directives relating to Road Transport and Dangerous Goods are fully complied with.

Raise all training records and updating FMT600s on completion of training.

Update training database and compile monthly stats.

Complete and record all annual Blacktop equipment training.

Undertake introductory brief, including HSAW, for all students, ensuring they are in possession of the relevant PPE.

Create a Safety-first culture, ensuring all activities reflect this core value with no compromise

Notify the MT Manager whenever deficiencies emerge that require their attention in respect of safety, risk, compliance or standards or if a matter is likely to cause a delay to a forecasted job completion or training requirements.

 

What you’ll need to do the role:-

 Full Driving Licence (Cat D & C)

DCPC Licence for respective licences held (Cat D & C)

Hold a colour perception category of the required standard to enable the issue of an Airfield Driving Permit.

Candidates should hold Defence Workplace Trainer or civilian equivalent qualification (Level 3 Award in Education and Training)

Must be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office package and possess a high standard of oral communication skills.
