MPI are currently recruiting for Logistic Controllers based between Barking and London City Airport

Start ASAP - Interviews to take place next week.

There will be a 6-8 week security check lead in period - as a Full Airside pass will be required - (5 years employment history and DBS)

7am to 7 pm - 12 hours shifts - 4on 4off.

Driving Licence required.

Up to  £30,000

Pension and Travel concessions in package.

The Role:

The Logistics team operates our main warehouse close to London City Airport, as well as a Line Stores on the airport, and also supports maintenance work at the various outstations.  This role involves shift work responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Stores facilities, including routine housekeeping, receiving and shipping deliveries across our network.

As a Logistics Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in ensuring that all stores tasks are controlled and monitored in accordance with CAA requirements

  • Accounting for all stock movement into and out of stores

  • Supporting the Lead Logistics Controller to ensure that all material tasks are properly controlled

  • Ensuring all goods, incoming and outgoing are accurately processed

  • Supporting all AOG requests

  • Controlling all transactions on our stock system

  • Complete customs paperwork and declarations as required for all shipments

  • Assist with any other projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Stores experience and knowledge of Dangerous Goods are desirable but not essential

  • Will need to be self-motivated, able to work on own initiative without supervision

  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines

  • Ability to prioritise various tasks

  • Will need to hold a full UK driving license (including Category B, manual), and will require you to obtain a Stores Inspector approval.

This role is a shift-based role including weekend and early/late shifts and will involve some lone and independent working.  This role is attracts an annual shift allowance and overtime is payable depending on operational requirements.
