Service & Installation Engineer

MPI is recruiting a Service & Installation Engineer on behalf of a leading client. This field-based role covers domestic and commercial sites across the UK, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects while joining a supportive and growing engineering team.

Candidates based in London are preferred, although applications from Kent, Surrey, Southampton, Reading, Oxford and surrounding areas are welcome.

The Role

As a Service & Installation Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, commissioning, fault finding, repairing and installing pumps and pressurised systems across a variety of customer sites. You'll also carry out site surveys, maintain accurate service records and provide excellent customer support throughout every job.

The role includes participation in an on-call rota to help provide a 24/7 service when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, commission and maintain pumps and pressurised systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs
  • Install pumps and pressurised systems on customer sites
  • Carry out pre-installation surveys
  • Complete service documentation using mobile technology
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety requirements
  • Build positive customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional services
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues when needed

What We're Looking For

  • Experience servicing, commissioning and installing pumps and pressurised systems
  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills
  • Good understanding of water and pressurised systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Organised, self-motivated and reliable
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Positive, flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Strong commitment to health and safety

Working Hours

Typical hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, although flexibility is required depending on customer requirements. Any time worked over 9 hours per day is paid at overtime rates, offering excellent additional earning potential.
