MPI is recruiting a Service & Advanced Repairs Engineer on behalf of a leading client. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing engineering team, offering excellent earning potential, ongoing training and career development.

The ideal candidate will be based in London, although applications from Kent, Surrey, Southampton, Reading, Oxford and surrounding areas are welcomed.

The Role

As a Service & Advanced Repairs Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, commissioning and carrying out advanced fault diagnosis and repairs on pumps and pressurised systems across domestic and commercial sites throughout the UK. You'll also support installation projects, carry out site surveys and deliver exceptional customer service.

You'll take part in a rotating on-call and standby rota to help provide a 24/7 customer support service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and commission pumps and pressurised systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out advanced repairs
  • Assist with the installation of pumps and pressurised systems
  • Carry out site surveys and provide technical information
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate records using mobile technology
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety procedures
  • Deliver outstanding customer service on every visit
  • Support and mentor colleagues where required
  • Identify opportunities to promote additional services

What We're Looking For

  • Experience servicing and commissioning pumps and pressurised systems
  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills
  • Good knowledge of pumps and pressurised water systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Organised, self-motivated and dependable
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Positive, flexible and proactive attitude
  • Commitment to safe working practices

Working Hours

Typical hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, although flexibility is required depending on customer requirements. Any hours worked over 9 hours per day are paid at overtime rates, providing excellent additional earning potential.
