MPI is recruiting a Site & Engineering Lead to join our client's AESAS 21 team at RNAS Yeovilton. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly skilled engineering operation supporting the Royal Navy, combining technical leadership, operational excellence and customer engagement.
In this senior role, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, compliant and efficient engineering services while driving continuous improvement, developing your team and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the day-to-day operational and engineering delivery of the AESAS contract
- Acting as the senior engineering authority, ensuring compliance with MAA Part 145, RA4801 and Military Regulatory Publications
- Providing technical leadership and oversight of engineering activities
- Managing engineering resources, quality systems and airworthiness responsibilities
- Building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for service improvement and business growth
- Inspiring, developing and leading a high-performing engineering team
- Supporting the Contract Manager and deputising when required
What we're looking for:
- Experienced Aircraft Engineer with the ability to hold Form 4 and delegated Level H authority
- Engineering Degree or HNC/HND (or equivalent)
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status
- Experience within a military or civil aviation environment
- Strong knowledge of MAA Part 145 regulations
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
