MPI have a requirement for Aircraft Inspectors who hold a C130 stamp to work in Cambridge. If you have held one previously then there is the opportunity to start on site as an Aircraft Fitter on a slightly lower rate (rate to be advised if interested in doing this), then after approx 6 months, move up to Inspector with renewed stamp. If you are ex RAF with a Q stamp with evidence of Inspection tasks these will also be considered.

 

These roles are INSCOPE OF IR35

 

Rates of pay for Inspector:

Airframe C130 stamp held previously

Days - £37.93 per hour Umbrella/£33.71 PSC

4 on 4 off  - £42.66 per hour Umbrella/ £37.86 PSC

 

Airframe and Engine C130 stamp held previously

Days - £40.00 per hour Umbrella/£35.52 PSC

4 on 4 off £44.75 per hour Umbrella/£39.68

 

Monday to Thursday shift is 07:30 to 17:15 with a half hour lunch. Hours above 37 each week paid at *1.5

 

4X4 shift is 10.25 hours per shift, 07:30 to 18:15 with a half hour lunch, except when a shift falls on a Tuesday when they work an 11 hour shift.

 

Overtime/extra shifts on 4X4 is paid at *1.5 the basic rate not the 4x4 rate.

 

 

Duties:-

To carry out maintenance, modifications and repairs to aircraft structure & mechanical systems in accordance with work card instructions and relevant controlled technical documentation.

Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and activity to ensure that progressive gains in efficiency are maintained.

Qualifications:-

Applicants must have Completed a recognised Engineering apprenticeship or a relevant higher education qualification

Have experience of Engineering within a maintenance environment

Have the ability to work individually as well as within a team across all functions on site, demonstrating a pro active and flexible attitude and supporting business targets and Company goals

You must have an eye for "Continuous Improvement”

Attention to detail and be self-motivated

Enthusiastic attitude, coupled with good teamwork & communication skills

GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English

Good knowledge of H & S Legislation and some knowledge of COSHH

Structural repairs experience preferable

Electrical Qualification advantageous but not essential.

 

If selected you will need to undergo Baseline Security Clearance, which will include applying for a basic DBS certificate at your own cost.  (£25.00) however this will be reimbursed by client upon starting
