XYZ TURNER Full-time, Permanent Salary: From £12.50 per hour RESPONSIBLE TO: Works Manager Manual/ XYZ Turner: Full training 39 hours per week 12.30 pm finish on a Friday 25 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays Enrolment in Companies auto-enrolment pension scheme Working within a detailed ISO 9001 Quality Management System Main responsibilities •To be fully conversant with programming, setting and operating XYZ centre lathes •Knowledge of XYZ Pro-track control is desirable but not essential •Have the ability to manufacture one-off’s and small batch precision components from a variety of engineering materials •To produce components within a cost-effective time-frame •The ability to read and understand engineering technical drawings •Conversant with all necessary measuring equipment •Able to work under own initiative and capable of working with limited supervision •Keeping records •The ability to read engineering drawings •The ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances •Taking measurement and detecting malfunctions •Maintaining equipment •Self-inspection •Overtime available when production allows •Have the ability to communicate with people at all levels and work pro-actively as part of a team •Be responsible for working in a clean and tidy manner adhering to Health & Safety requirements •Required to work within a detailed ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) •Carry out any other ad hoc duties as required •Take part in training provided
